Intimate Area Discomfort Aesthetic Concerns (Female)

As women age or undergo life changes (e.g., childbirth, hormonal shifts, thin skin, friction or aesthetic changes), the intimate region may undergo structural, functional and aesthetic transformations: decreased tissue fullness in the labia majora, loss of elasticity in the vaginal mucosa, recurrent dryness or irritation, reduced sensitivity or discomfort during intercourse, and hyper-pigmentation in the vulvar area or inner thighs.  The mesoestetic intimate-health range is designed to restore comfort, function and appearance of the female intimate area, helping clients feel more confident and comfortable.

Overview

  • Women of all ages may be affected, but the range of issues becomes more common from the perimenopausal stage onward as estrogen levels decline. Those who have had childbirth, weight changes, aesthetic procedures or repetitive trauma to the intimate area (sports, hair removal) tend to present earlier. Even younger women may experience discomfort, dryness, tissue deflation or pigmentation changes that affect confidence or sexual comfort.

    • Vulvovaginal dryness, irritation, or recurrent infections due to mucosal thinning or reduced lubrication.

    • Loss of labia majora fullness or vulvar ptosis/hypotrophy, causing flattened contour or rubbing/chafing discomfort.

    • Dark patches on the external genital or inner-thigh/groin region (hyper-pigmentation) causing aesthetic concern.

    • Reduced sensitivity or pain during intercourse (dyspareunia) or discomfort from friction or chafing.

    • What NICE advises: Manage genitourinary symptoms of menopause with vaginal oestrogen plus or minus non-hormonal moisturisers/lubricants, chosen by shared decision-making and reviewed regularly. How: choose cream, gel, tablet, pessary or ring, explain very low systemic risk, and review at intervals.

    • What the BNF advises: Use topical estradiol/estriol vaginal preparations for atrophy and related symptoms; selection and dosing per product monograph. How: prescribe appropriate local oestrogen form and monitor response.

    • Aesthetics note: No NICE/BNF advice on intimate HA fillers/depigmentation; any such procedures are clinician-led under device/medicine regulations and CQC governance.

  • At Haus Of Ästhetik, combining mesoestetic’s intimate-health range with medical oversight gives a robust pathway for correction of concerns.

    1. mesoestetic mesofiller® sensitive 20 mg/ml

    • A reticulated hyaluronic-acid gel implant indicated for vulvovaginal atrophy, dryness and sexual-dysfunction-linked issues (vaginal vestibule, walls, introitus) in the intimate area.

    • Provides hydration, volumisation and structural support to the intimate mucosa, improving lubrication, comfort and sexual function.

    2. mesoestetic mesofiller® sensitive plus 25 mg/ml

    • Designed for the external genital area (labia majora) to correct deflation, labial ptosis or hypotrophy by restoring volume and contour.

    3. mesoestetic Dermamelan® Intimate (topical/gel)

    • A corrective depigmentation protocol formulated for intimate areas: external genitalia, inner thighs, groin. Reduces pigment irregularities over time via regulatory action.

    4. mesoestetic Hydragel Intimate

    • A moisturising gel for the female intimate area, restoring hydration, elasticity and flexibility to mucosal and external tissue.

Treatment plans typically combine structural injectable support (mesofiller®) with topical care (Hydragel Intimate) and pigmentation management (Dermamelan® Intimate), all under medical oversight.

  • A full medical consultation is essential to assess endocrine, dermatological and gynaecological status. Contraindications may include active infection in the area, uncontrolled systemic disease, pregnancy or lactation (depending on injectable use), or unrealistic expectations. All injectable and device/method-based treatments follow CQC standards, informed consent, and full traceability of product batch numbers.

    • Restoration of hydration, fullness and comfort in the vulvovaginal area, reducing dryness and sexual dysfunction symptoms typically over 1–3 sessions.

    • Improved external labial contour, firmness and symmetry following labial volumisation, typically lasting 12-18 months depending on metabolic factors and lifestyle.

    • Visible reduction of pigmentation irregularities in the intimate region with improved tone and radiance over 4–8 weeks, maintained with homecare.Patients often report increased comfort, confidence, and intimate well-being, noting improved sensitivity, less friction/discomfort and better aesthetic appearance.

    • Post-injectable: avoid strenuous activity, sexual intercourse and swimming for 24-48 hours; wear loose clothing; maintain hygiene and hydration.

    • Use prescribed topical maintenance products (Hydragel Intimate, Dermamelan® Intimate gel) daily as directed.

    • Protect treated area from intense heat or friction; maintain healthy weight, avoid tight clothing and high-impact sports on labial region initially.

    • Review every 6-12 months to assess volume, pigmentation and tissue health, with touch-up treatments as required.

  • Book a Female Intimate Wellness Consultation at Haus of Ästhetik to assess structure, function and aesthetic of your intimate area.
