BAKEWELL

Hair loss / Thinning

Hair loss, medically termed alopecia, describes partial or complete shedding or thinning of hair on the scalp or body. It may result from hormonal imbalance, genetics, stress, nutritional deficiency, or autoimmune activity. While hair loss is common, it often affects self-confidence and emotional wellbeing.

At Haus of Ästhetik, we combine medical insight with regenerative treatments to stimulate hair growth, strengthen follicles, and restore scalp health, all in a regulated, clinically safe environment.

Overview

Hair loss, medically termed alopecia, describes partial or complete shedding or thinning of hair on the scalp or body. It may result from hormonal imbalance, genetics, stress, nutritional deficiency, or autoimmune activity. While hair loss is common, it often affects self-confidence and emotional wellbeing.

At Haus of Ästhetik, we combine medical insight with regenerative treatments to stimulate hair growth, strengthen follicles, and restore scalp health, all in a regulated, clinically safe environment.

  • Hair loss can affect anyone regardless of age or gender. Androgenetic alopecia affects roughly half of men over 50 and increasing numbers of post-menopausal women.

Telogen effluvium may appear after illness, childbirth, or surgery. Alopecia areata often presents in younger adults but can occur at any age.

    • Gradual thinning along the temples, crown, or parting line

    • Patchy or circular bald areas (in autoimmune causes)

    • Excessive shedding seen on pillow or in shower

    • Itching, dryness, or inflammation of the scalp

    • Changes in hair texture or miniaturisation

  • Both NICE and the BNF recommend topical minoxidil and oral finasteride (for men) as first-line therapies. Corticosteroids are reserved for alopecia areata, and supportive management includes addressing nutritional or hormonal causes.

Our Mesoestetic Hair Growth Therapy reflects these principles by stimulating follicles through biomimetic peptides, vitamins, and regenerative actives, offering a non-systemic alternative to pharmacological products. When required, medical prescribing aligns with BNF-listed treatments, supported by our safe prescribing and monitoring framework.

    • Primary in-clinic options: Mesoestetic X.Prof 018 Hair Growth Peptides and C.Prof 210 Hair Growth Solution — microneedling or mesotherapy delivery to stimulate the anagen phase.

    • Supportive therapy: LED Photobiomodulation and Polynucleotide Scalp Rejuvenation — promote vascular supply and follicular strength.

    • Home maintenance: Mesoestetic Tricology Intensive Hair Loss Shampoo & Lotion — extend results between sessions.

  • 1. mesoestetic Hair Growth Solutions (X.Prof & C.Prof Range)

    • C.Prof 210 Hair Growth Solution and X.Prof 018 Peptides deliver biomimetic peptides, vitamins, and trace elements directly to follicles.

    • Stimulate microcirculation, extend the anagen (growth) phase, and strengthen keratin synthesis.

    • Delivered via microneedling or mesotherapy techniques to encourage regrowth and density.

    2. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or Polynucleotide Therapy

    • Autologous plasma or regenerative molecules stimulate follicular stem cells and improve scalp oxygenation.

    • Encourages thicker, stronger hair growth with natural biocompatibility.

    3. Topical & Oral Medicines (as per NICE/BNF)

    • Minoxidil: advised by NICE and BNF for androgenetic alopecia; applied daily to prolong follicular activity.

    • Finasteride (men only): reduces conversion of testosterone to DHT; available under prescription following medical review.

    • Corticosteroids or immunotherapy: for autoimmune alopecia areata, typically under dermatology supervision.

    4. mesoestetic Tricology Homecare Range

    • Shampoos and scalp lotions enriched with antioxidants and vitamins to maintain scalp health post-treatment.

    5. LED Photobiomodulation Therapy

    • Red light (630 – 670 nm) increases circulation, reduces inflammation, and prolongs the hair-growth cycle.

All treatments are performed by medically trained practitioners under CQC Regulation 12, with patient consent, traceability, and safety protocols observed.

  • Suitability is determined following a comprehensive consultation assessing pattern, duration, and cause of hair loss.

Contraindications include active infection, uncontrolled autoimmune disease, or pregnancy (for some pharmacological agents). For medicinal treatments, prescribing follows BNF guidance on dosage, monitoring, and adverse-effect counselling.

    • Topical/oral therapies: stabilise loss and promote regrowth over 3–6 months.

    • PRP/polynucleotide and mesoestetic therapies: visible thickening and density improvement after 3–4 sessions.

    • LED therapy: progressive strengthening of fine or weakened hair shafts. Results vary by cause, stage, and adherence to maintenance plans.

    • Avoid washing the scalp for 12 hours post-mesotherapy or PRP.

    • Use gentle, sulphate-free cleansers and daily SPF on exposed scalp areas.

    • Maintain adequate protein, iron, and hydration levels.

    • Continue prescribed topicals or supplements as advised.

    • Schedule follow-up every 3 months to assess growth response and adjust treatment.

  • Book a Hair Restoration Consultation at Haus of Ästhetik for a clinical scalp assessment and evidence-based treatment plan. We evaluate underlying causes, check suitability for medical or regenerative therapies, and provide clear guidance on expected outcomes.

All treatments are delivered under CQC Regulation 12: Safe Care and Treatment, following NICE and BNF recommendations for safety and pharmacological governance. You will receive a personalised protocol for sustained hair strength, coverage, and scalp health.
