Droopy Eyebrows

Droopy eyebrows, known medically as brow ptosis, describe a lowering of the brow position that creates a tired, heavy, or sad appearance. It can reduce the visible area of the upper eyelid and, in some cases, cause eye strain or reduced field of vision. While ageing is the primary factor, lifestyle and muscle imbalance also contribute. At Haus of Ästhetik, brow lifting is achieved through non-surgical means, using precision neuromodulator techniques, targeted dermal fillers, and regenerative treatments that restore lift and freshness without altering natural expression.

Overview

Droopy eyebrows, known medically as brow ptosis, describe a lowering of the brow position that creates a tired, heavy, or sad appearance. It can reduce the visible area of the upper eyelid and, in some cases, cause eye strain or reduced field of vision. While ageing is the primary factor, lifestyle and muscle imbalance also contribute. At Haus of Ästhetik, brow lifting is achieved through non-surgical means, using precision neuromodulator techniques, targeted dermal fillers, and regenerative treatments that restore lift and freshness without altering natural expression.

  • Droopy brows can affect men and women alike, typically from the late thirties onwards. It may also occur earlier in those with strong orbicularis activity, low bone structure, or weight loss affecting the temples and upper face. Patients often report that they “look tired” even when well rested.

    • Brow descent giving the eyes a hooded appearance

    • Heaviness in the upper eyelid area

    • Asymmetry between left and right brows

    • Fine lines or horizontal forehead creasing

    • Downward tilt to the outer brow (lateral brow ptosis)

  • There is no dedicated NICE guidance for chemical brow-lift techniques. The BNF covers toxin treatments broadly, but does not provide eyebrow-lifting specific advice.

  • 1. Botulinum Toxin (Brow Lift Technique)

    • Small doses of neuromodulator are strategically placed in the lateral orbicularis oculi and glabellar complex.

    • Relaxes the depressor muscles while allowing the frontalis to elevate the brows naturally.

    • Provides a subtle “chemical brow lift” without surgery.

    • Results visible in 5–10 days, lasting 3–4 months.

    • Performed under MHRA and BNF prescribing guidance as a POM treatment.

    2. Teoxane RHA 2 or RHA 3 Fillers (Temple and Brow Support)

    • Restores volume to the temples and lateral brow, lifting surrounding tissue.

    • Improves light reflection and smooths hollowness above the eyelid.

    • Formulated with Resilient Hyaluronic Acid for dynamic, natural movement.

    3. Mesoestetic Nexha Filler (HA + Succinic Acid)

    • Combines hyaluronic acid volumisation with succinic acid’s bio-regenerative benefits.

    • Stimulates fibroblast activity and collagen formation, reinforcing tissue integrity around the brow and temple.

    • Enhances lift and skin quality over several weeks.

    4. mesoestetic Age Element Firming or Periocular Peel

    • Non-invasive resurfacing to tighten and brighten the eye area.

    • Encourages dermal renewal and reduces fine lines contributing to heaviness.

    5. Collagen-Stimulating & LED Therapies

    • Promote natural tissue tightening and rejuvenation through fibroblast activation.

    • Suitable as maintenance between injectable sessions.

All procedures are performed by medically qualified practitioners under CQC Regulation 12 governance, ensuring informed consent, product traceability, and safe clinical practice.

  • A consultation determines the anatomical cause of brow descent, whether muscular, structural, or cutaneous.

Contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, or known neuromuscular disorders.

Suitability for neuromodulator treatment is assessed through full medical screening and photographic mapping.

    • Botulinum toxin: subtle lift of 1–3 mm in the brow arch, creating a fresher, more open look.

    • Fillers and regenerative treatments: improved support and firmness, lasting 9–18 months.

    • Combined protocols: deliver natural rejuvenation without altering expression or facial identity.Patients typically report brighter eyes, smoother forehead contours, and a rejuvenated yet realistic appearance.

    • Remain upright and avoid rubbing or massaging the area for 24 hours.

    • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours.

    • Use mineral SPF 30+ daily and hydrating eye care such as mesoestetic Energy C Eye Contour or Teoxane R[II] Eyes.

    • Review results at two weeks for any refinement or adjustment.

    • Repeat toxin every 3–4 months and filler maintenance annually to sustain lift.

  • Book a Brow Lift Consultation at Haus of Ästhetik for a comprehensive upper-face assessment.

We analyse muscle activity, skin elasticity, and bone structure before creating a personalised plan that may include precise toxin placement, regenerative filler, or advanced skin tightening.

All treatments are performed under CQC Regulation 12: Safe Care and Treatment, with complete documentation, aftercare, and follow-up to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
