Jowls

Jowls refer to the soft tissue that sags along the jawline, blurring the once-defined lower-face contour. They form gradually as skin elasticity, fat support, and bone density decline. While completely natural, jowls often create a heavier, tired appearance that does not reflect how people feel inside.

At Haus of Ästhetik, we specialise in restoring lift, definition, and balance through advanced dermal and regenerative treatments that respect the face’s natural movement and proportion.

Overview

Jowls refer to the soft tissue that sags along the jawline, blurring the once-defined lower-face contour. They form gradually as skin elasticity, fat support, and bone density decline. While completely natural, jowls often create a heavier, tired appearance that does not reflect how people feel inside.

At Haus of Ästhetik, we specialise in restoring lift, definition, and balance through advanced dermal and regenerative treatments that respect the face’s natural movement and proportion.

  • Most people begin to notice jowling in their forties, though it can appear earlier in those with thinner skin or high sun exposure. Both men and women experience it, and it is common after weight loss or hormonal change.

    • Soft tissue sagging along the jawline or under the chin

    • Loss of definition between face and neck

    • Deepened nasolabial and marionette folds

    • Heaviness in the lower face or down-turned mouth corners

    • Thinning or lax skin texture in the lower cheek area

  • There is no NICE guideline dedicated to non-surgical management of jawline sagging (jowls). Consequently, the BNF does not include indication-specific guidance for aesthetic jowl correction.

  • 1. Teoxane RHA 4 and Ultra Deep Fillers

    • Provide deep structural support to lift and reposition tissue.

    • Restore jawline and chin definition without surgery.

    • High-elasticity hyaluronic acid moves naturally with expression.

    2. Mesoestetic Nexha Fillers (20 – 25 mg/ml HA + Succinic Acid)

    • Rebuild mid-face projection to counter downward tissue pull.

    • Succinic acid promotes fibroblast activity, new collagen synthesis, and antioxidant defence, addressing the cause of laxity rather than masking it.

    • Results combine subtle lift with skin vitality and radiance.

    3. Collagen-Stimulating & Bioregenerative Therapies

    • Polynucleotide or PLLA (Sculptra®) treatments enhance dermal elasticity and structure over time.

    • Ideal for patients preferring gradual improvement.

    4. mesoestetic Age Element Firming and Skin Peels

    • Boost dermal renewal and tighten texture through controlled resurfacing and peptide activation.

    • Combine with LED or microneedling for enhanced collagen stimulation.

    5. Skin Boosting & Maintenance

    • Teoxane Redensity I or mesoestetic Hydra-Vital to improve hydration and surface firmness.

All injectables are prescription-only and performed under prescriber supervision in accordance with MHRA, BNF, and CQC guidance.

  • Suitability is determined through a detailed consultation evaluating skin elasticity, fat pad descent, bone support, and medical history. Contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, autoimmune disorders, or active infection.

All procedures follow CQC Regulation 12: Safe Care and Treatment, with full informed consent, product traceability, and emergency reversal protocols in place.

    • Immediate: improved contour and lift after filler placement.

    • Progressive: collagen-stimulating treatments enhance firmness and definition over 8–12 weeks.

    • Longevity: 12–24 months depending on treatment type and skin biology.Patients typically notice a sharper jawline, smoother lower-face transition, and restored facial balance without surgical downtime.

    • Avoid heat, exercise, and alcohol for 48 hours.

    • Do not apply pressure or sleep face-down for one week.

    • Maintain hydration and daily SPF 30+.

    • Gentle skincare only for 24 hours post-procedure.

    • Schedule follow-ups every 9–12 months for review and top-up if required.

  • Book a consultation at Haus of Ästhetik for a comprehensive lower-face assessment. We analyse bone structure, fat distribution, and skin quality before tailoring a plan that may include Nexha bio-regenerative filler, Teoxane structural lifting, or a combined collagen-boosting programme.

All procedures are delivered under CQC Regulation 12 with full transparency, informed consent, and post-treatment monitoring. You will receive written aftercare guidance and a realistic, sustainable plan for long-term facial harmony.
