Cellulite / Localised Fat Deposits

Cellulite and localised fat deposits are among the most common aesthetic body concerns, affecting the skin’s texture and overall contour. Cellulite appears as uneven, dimpled skin due to fibrous septae pulling down on underlying fat cells, while localised fat deposits are small, resistant accumulations that persist despite diet and exercise. At Haus of Ästhetik, we address both using medically guided, non-surgical body-contouring techniques that improve circulation, reduce adipose clusters, and smooth the skin’s surface for a firmer, more even appearance.

Overview

Cellulite and localised fat deposits are among the most common aesthetic body concerns, affecting the skin’s texture and overall contour. Cellulite appears as uneven, dimpled skin due to fibrous septae pulling down on underlying fat cells, while localised fat deposits are small, resistant accumulations that persist despite diet and exercise. At Haus of Ästhetik, we address both using medically guided, non-surgical body-contouring techniques that improve circulation, reduce adipose clusters, and smooth the skin’s surface for a firmer, more even appearance.

  • According to NICE and NHS dermatological literature, cellulite and stubborn fat develop due to a combination of structural and metabolic factors:

    • Hormonal changes: oestrogen and insulin influence fat distribution and connective-tissue structure.

    • Genetics: predisposition to reduced dermal elasticity and microcirculation.

    • Lymphatic insufficiency: impaired drainage contributes to fluid retention and uneven skin tone.

    • Sedentary lifestyle: reduced muscular tone and local microcirculation.

    • Dietary habits: high sugar or salt intake promotes fluid retention and inflammation.

    • Ageing: collagen loss and decreased dermal density make fat pockets more visible.

NICE advises non-surgical management focusing on safe, evidence-based interventions that improve tissue quality, circulation, and metabolism. BNF and MHRA require that injectables such as a prescription injectable treatment® be administered under medical supervision, with emergency readiness and product traceability documented in line with CQC Regulation 12.

    • Uneven, “orange-peel” texture on skin surface (cellulite)

    • Soft, palpable fat pads that persist despite diet or exercise

    • Loss of firmness or contour definition

    • Local tenderness or mild swelling in affected areas

  • There is no NICE or BNF guideline endorsing injectable fat reduction for cosmetic body areas; any prescription option is specialist-led and considered only after medical assessment. Energy-based and skincare modalities are supported by dermatological evidence rather than NICE protocols.

  • We approach cellulite and localised fat with health and comfort in mind, not conformity to any single ideal shape, and we screen sensitively for body-image concerns. Your plan may include:

    • Prescription injectable options for localised fat, assessed and prescribed only after an in-person medical consultation.

    • Professional body-contouring skincare and supportive treatments.

    • Practical lifestyle guidance to support and maintain results.

    • Honest discussion of what is, and is not, realistically achievable.

We will always be candid about suitability and expected outcomes.

  • Suitable for adults with mild to moderate cellulite or localised fat who maintain a stable body weight and healthy lifestyle. Not suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in patients with uncontrolled metabolic, hepatic, or renal conditions. A consultation includes medical screening and photographic assessment to tailor the protocol safely and effectively.

  • Results depend on the option chosen and on individual factors, so we set expectations openly at your consultation. In general the aim is a natural improvement in cellulite and localised fat rather than a dramatic change. Some treatments work gradually over several weeks as skin quality improves; others give a more immediate effect that then settles. Results are not permanent, vary from person to person, and are maintained on a personalised review schedule. We will not overtreat, and we welcome an honest conversation about what is realistic for you.

    • Avoid heat exposure, vigorous activity, or massage for 48 hours after injectables.

    • Maintain hydration and light physical activity to enhance lymphatic clearance.

    • Use mesoestetic Bodyshock® Firm & Go or Reducer Gel at home to support results.

    • Follow a balanced diet, adequate water intake, and limit alcohol and refined sugars.

    • Maintenance every 6–12 months ensures sustained results.

  • The first step is always a face-to-face consultation at Haus of Asthetik. We assess your body and skin, take a full medical history and discuss realistic, evidence-based options for cellulite and localised fat. Any prescription element is provided only where clinically appropriate, following an in-person medical assessment and prescriber sign-off; we do not prescribe remotely. Treatments are for adults aged 18 and over only.

All care is delivered under CQC Regulation 12 (Safe Care and Treatment), with informed consent, product traceability and written aftercare, and our governance is kept in step with the forthcoming national licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Individual results vary and are discussed honestly with you. If you ever feel distressed about your appearance, we are glad to talk it through and, where helpful, signpost further support.
