Nasolibial Folds
Nasolabial folds are the natural skin creases running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. While present in everyone, they deepen over time due to facial movement, fat-pad descent, and collagen loss, which can make the face appear tired or heavy. At Haus of Ästhetik, we treat nasolabial folds by restoring mid-face structure and skin support rather than simply filling the line, ensuring a balanced and natural result.

Overview
Nasolabial folds are the natural skin creases running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. While present in everyone, they deepen over time due to facial movement, fat-pad descent, and collagen loss, which can make the face appear tired or heavy. At Haus of Ästhetik, we treat nasolabial folds by restoring mid-face structure and skin support rather than simply filling the line, ensuring a balanced and natural result.
Nasolabial folds can appear in early adulthood but usually deepen from the mid-thirties onward. They affect all genders and skin types and often accompany loss of cheek projection or generalised mid-face deflation.
Prominent lines or shadows from nose to mouth corners
Heaviness or flattening of the mid-face
Deepening when smiling or at rest
Impression of fatigue or sagging
What NICE/BNF advise: No dedicated NICE pathway; BNF does not guide aesthetic filler placement. How: practise under medical governance with complication readiness (hyaluronidase) and product SPC adherence.
1. Teoxane RHA 3, RHA 4 or Ultra Deep (Structural Mid-Face Lift)
Repositions volume and support in the cheek area, indirectly softening the fold.
High G′ formulations provide lift while maintaining natural facial mobility.
Results last 9–18 months depending on product and metabolism.
2. Mesoestetic Nexha Volume (HA + Succinic Acid)
Combines cross-linked hyaluronic acid for structure with succinic acid to stimulate fibroblast activity and collagen renewal.
Provides both immediate correction and regenerative benefit for long-term firmness.
3. Teoxane Redensity II / I Skin Booster
Improves hydration, elasticity, and dermal tone in the perioral region.
Ideal as a maintenance or combination therapy following volumisation.
4. mesoestetic Age Element Firming or Antioxidant Peels
Promote dermal renewal, improve tone, and refine texture around the mid-face.
Used in combination with injectables for comprehensive rejuvenation.
5. Holistic Mid-Face Rejuvenation Protocol
Restores cheek projection, supports nasolabial fold indirectly, and refines skin tone.
Creates lift rather than bulk, maintaining natural contour and balance.
All injectables are delivered by medically trained practitioners under CQC Regulation 12, ensuring asepsis, product traceability, and full documentation.
Appropriate for adults with mild to moderate fold depth or visible mid-face descent. A full facial assessment determines whether direct filler placement or indirect cheek support gives the most natural outcome. Contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, infection, or known hypersensitivity to HA.
Filler correction: visible softening immediately, with continued improvement as hydration and collagen increase.
Skin regeneration: progressive tone and elasticity gains over 4–6 weeks.
Results typically last 12–18 months and yield a fresher, balanced mid-face profile.
Avoid touching or massaging for 24 hours.
No intense exercise, alcohol, or heat exposure for 48 hours.
Apply mineral SPF 30+ daily.
Hydrate and support skin with Teoxane Advanced Filler or mesoestetic Collagen 360° Cream.
Review results at 2 weeks and repeat every 12–18 months as needed.
